I have had the honor of creating many engagement sessions over the years, and one thing is clear: every couple has their own unique story to tell. My job is simple: to help you tell yours through photographs. I'd like to share some tips and tricks on how to make your engagement session a success as well as some tips on what makes a great engagement shot.

Engagement sessions are a great opportunity to capture the love that you and your fiancé share.

Engagement sessions are a great opportunity to capture the love that you and your fiancé share. They're also a great way to practice for your wedding day, and they'll help you relax in front of the camera a little more so that when it comes time to get married, it will seem like second nature.

Engagement sessions are also a fantastic way to create memories together as a couple before getting married. You can spend some time looking back at all of these photos later on down the road when things start feeling routine or even when things feel difficult (which they inevitably will).

Creating that timeless romance

Engagement sessions are a great opportunity to capture the love that you and your fiancé share. You can create a timeless romance for your engagement session, wedding, honeymoon and even anniversary photos.

This photo is of my niece and her fiance. They had just finished their session at the hotel where they will be married next year! I am so excited to see what they have planned!

Artistic Passion

While your photo shoot is a chance to show off your personal style and what you love, it's also an opportunity to think about how this will affect your life together. If you don't want to be photographed in a large group of friends and family, explain that beforehand. The best way to do this is by requesting an engagement session with just the two of you before the wedding day itself. By allowing yourself some time alone with only your photographer and perhaps another person or two involved in the process, it will allow you both the chance to feel relaxed around each other and enjoy yourselves without feeling awkward in front of anyone else.

But don't worry! This doesn't mean that everyone else can't join in on the fun! Engagement sessions are excellent ways for guests who have traveled far away from home (or even across town) have an opportunity participate in some sort of creative activity together as well as spend time interacting with one another outside their usual social circles - which might be helpful if some guests aren't so close friends with others at first glance when meeting up for dinner parties or other events throughout life . . .

Your Love, Your Style

Your Love, Your Style

  • Show off your personality. The engagement session is all about you and your love story. No matter what your style is, show it! If you’re not a dresser, that’s OK! You can wear jeans and a t-shirt for the shoot if it makes you feel comfortable.
  • Show off your style. While this isn't the time to break out of the box with an outfit that's too wild or crazy (unless that's who you are), making sure everyone knows what kind of fashion sense you have will make this session more fun!
  • Show off your love. You're going to want these photos to be romantic and sweet so don’t forget how much they mean to each other during this experience together as husband and wife one day soon…
  • Show off your engagement ring! This is definitely one piece of jewelry worth showing off since it represents such an important milestone in both of their lives together – being engaged!

You are unique; celebrate it!

A wedding day is one of the most memorable days in your life. It’s a day that has been anticipated and dreamed about for years, sometimes even decades. That’s why it’s so important to make sure you have everything perfect on this special day.

One way to ensure that your wedding is perfect is through engagement photos, which are also known as pre-wedding or honeymoon photos. These shots give you an opportunity to have fun with your partner and document some great moments before getting married. Not only will this allow you both to relax before the big day gets here, but it will also be a chance for you to show off how much fun the two of you can have together.

The engagement photo session should be something unique and memorable—something that will keep both of your memories alive long after the ceremony has ended!

You are unique; celebrate it! By choosing to embrace the uniqueness of your love story, you’re setting a foundation for a lifetime of beautiful memories and photographs. This is your chance to explore the world through new eyes—so don’t waste it.
