Macabre Photography FAQ

FAQ

How many images will we receive?

The number of photos you will receive is dependent on the package you choose. Each package has a set number of images expected on delivery.

Do you travel for photoshoots?

Yes! I’m an adventure seeker through and through. Whether it’s hopping on a plane to come and meet you at the base of your favorite mountain, or jumping in a car to explore somewhere that plays a crucial part of your life story, I love a new adventure. If you’d like to scheme an adventure closer to me, I’ll take the trip for free within 10 miles.

What’s in your camera bag?

The camera body I use for my pictures is the Sony A7C. This camera has been my go-to for all of the photographs in this collection. It comes with three different lenses: 28-60mm, 50mm, and 24-70mm.

How long have you been a photographer?

I have been photographing professionally since 2019. However, I have been taking photographs for years as a hobby. In this time I have developed my skills as a photographer and discovered my favorite type of photography, which is Cosplay photography.

Can we meet you before booking?

Yes for boudoir & elopement packages I offer a free 30 minute zoom meeting to speak before we sit to officially book! Let me know if you would like more information on pricing and availability.

Will my photos be Boudoir published?

I promise that I will never post any images of you without your permission. I understand that you value your privacy and am happy to respect it by working with you on what type of photos you do or don't want me to share.

Do you give us all of the RAW files?

I use my RAW files to create prints and digital products, with Photoshop. I also use RAW files for my portfolio. However, these are only for professional use. I do not sell or give the RAW files for any reason. This also allows me to prove if needed the copyrights to my photography.

What if we need to rain check or cancel?

We understand that sometimes things happen and you are unable to make a scheduled shoot. However if you cancel the appointment within the grace period of 14 days of your booking, we will be happy to move your shoot for free one time. However, if you cancel after the grace period or if there is no rain check available for this shoot, then we have some restrictions on refunds for deposits on these shoots. Please contact us for details about cancellation policies for specific date and time slots.

What if we're getting married abroad?

I am a traveling photographer and available for wedding photography in New Jersey and outside of it. I will require things like lodging, food, car rental and additional insurance coverage for the rental as part of the expenses for my coming to your location.

Do you have a recommended videographer?

I can recommend several Videographers I have worked with and they have been great. I'm happy to share their contact information if you are interested in engaging them for your project.

How long does it take to get our photos delivered?

Generally the turn around for weddings/Elopements is 6 to 8 weeks with editing time. However it can be up to 10 weeks during our busy season. When you book a wedding/elopement with us, we'll send you an invoice detailing all the services and fees associated with that package and our policies regarding payments, returns and cancellations.

What should I bring to my Boudoir Shoot?

The best way to have a good time is to be relaxed and comfortable. I'm happy to work with you on any special items or outfits you want incorporated into your photos.

I hate my stretch marks or body fat, can you edit this out?

First, I want to say how beautiful you are. You are completely perfect just the way you are, and I don't want to make any changes to your body that would make you feel uncomfortable. Second, I do light editing of photos because I believe we should embrace our beauty for how we are—not for someone else's standards. My general rule is "If it will still be on your body in 2 weeks, I don't touch it," which means if you have a scar or blemish that's not bothering you, and if a cut or bruise isn't going to heal in a few days (or if it's on your face), then I won't remove it from our photos either. If there are any scars or blemishes that bother you, though, please feel free to let me know so we can discuss them at the time of your session.

Finally—and this is really important: please let me know if there are any poses that make you feel uncomfortable! We can work together to find ones that fit your style and comfort level best!
