Halloween Wedding

Halloween is a day of the year we often associate with mischief, scares and treats. It's also a day filled with joy and excitement as people from all over come together in fancy dress all for a common purpose - to have fun!

For those who are planning their wedding around this time of year, you'll be pleased to know that there are lots of ways you can still incorporate your favorite Halloween traditions into your big day without making it too spooky or scary for guests.

Halloween is a day of the year we often associate with mischief, scares and treats. It's also a day filled with joy and excitement as people from all over come together in fancy dress all for a common purpose - to have fun! We think it's time for Halloween weddings to start being a thing.

We've already taken some steps towards this by hosting our first ever Halloween wedding at The Clifton Hotel Dublin last October and we're ready to make another one happen too!

We teamed up with Wedding Planner extraordinaire Jenny Cuffe as well as Christy Sheridan of Elegantly Yours Events who both helped us create the perfect atmosphere for an unforgettable night out at this very special event. After months of planning by Jenny, Christy and her team including her wizardry on cupcakes (that we had made especially for our occasion), we were able to host 30 guests in style on Friday 13th October 2017 in their newly refurbished ballroom which was decorated with spider webs, pumpkins, ghosts etc...

Halloween is traditionally seen as the perfect time to throw a party, so what could be better than having your wedding on Halloween? The possibilities are endless...

If you’ve always been a big fan of this spooky holiday and you want to celebrate it in style, then here are some tips that can help make your wedding even more memorable.

From Dark Dramatic Decor to Cute and Creepy Favors

The first thing to consider is what kind of Halloween wedding you want. If you're going for the spooky, Halloween-y look, then I suggest decorating with cobwebs and black and gold. There are so many different kinds of decorations that have been used over the years at this time of year. Cobwebs are a classic option because they evoke an image of being haunted by ghosts without actually having any ghosts present (if that's what you're going for). Black and gold make a great color combination because they are both rich colors that go well together while also evoking images of darkness and death—which is definitely what we want from our creepy wedding!

You can also decorate with dark purple candles or skulls if these things appeal more strongly than cobwebs or black/gold combos do to your tastes. Mini pumpkins would be another good choice here because they show how cutely spooky your wedding will be!

Whether you go all out gothic or opt for cute and creepy, there are plenty of ways to embrace the spookiness of Halloween without sacrificing style. Look no further than Pinterest for inspiration!

Pinterest has a lot of Halloween wedding ideas, as well as decorating and styling tips that will help you create an enchanted atmosphere at your haunted soiree. It also has lots of ideas for favors that will either delight guests or send them running in fear—but either way they'll remember it forever!

Black and gold wedding decor

Black and gold wedding decor is the perfect way to make your Halloween wedding feel special.

Black tablecloths draped with cobweb lace, skulls on candle holders and tiny pumpkins on the tables instead of flower arrangements are all easy ways to add some spooky flair to your reception. For an extra touch of Halloween magic, add a mini pumpkin heart for each guest and at their place setting!

Purple candles

Purple is a great color for Halloween weddings. Purple can create a dark and dramatic look that’s perfect for Halloween themes. It also works well with other colors like black, orange and green. When used as table centerpieces, purple candles are elegant and fun, making them great for any kind of wedding theme!

  • Drape a black tablecloth.
  • Drape your tablecloth with cobweb lace, or make your own (our tutorial here).
  • You could use other items to decorate the table as well—black and orange flowers, spiders, or even pumpkins! You could also add details like cobwebs on the chairs or a spider web centerpiece for each plate of food on the table.

Skulls on candle holders

Skulls are a great way to add a gothic touch to your wedding. You can use them as centerpieces, or as part of your table decor. They come in all sorts of sizes, from tiny to life-sized, and they're available in all sorts of materials: wood, plastic and resin among others.

Mini pumpkins on the tables instead of flower arrangements.

Mini pumpkins are great for adding some Halloween flair to your wedding. They can be used as centerpieces or table decorations. You can arrange them on the tables, or hang them from the ceiling. Mini pumpkins are also inexpensive, so they're a great way to add a lot of Halloween spirit without breaking the bank!

Mini pumpkins are a great way to decorate tables and give your guests something to look forward to. Mini pumpkins can be used as table decorations, place card holders, or even favors for your guests!

If you want your mini pumpkin heart to be useful when it's not on the table, fill it with candy or other small trinkets. If you plan on just using these for decoration at each setting, I would suggest having them available in different colors and sizes so that they all look unique from one another.

This is a great opportunity to throw your guests an unforgettable party!

For a memorable wedding, make sure you have the right venue. It should be spacious enough to accommodate all your guests and have some sort of theme that matches the season. Also, ensure you have a good photographer on board who can capture all those special moments that will last forever in your memory. Hiring a good caterer is also important as it will help keep things going smoothly at the event. Lastly, don’t forget about your dress! Make sure it complements the theme and fits perfectly so you feel comfortable throughout the day. Have fun!

Halloween is the perfect time for a wedding, and it's not just about the decorations. Halloween weddings are also an opportunity to show off your creativity and have fun with your guests. With so many different styles and themes to choose from, you can make this day as spooky or elegant as you want! Whether your wedding theme involves vampires or witches, skeletons or ghosts - it's all possible at this time of year.
