In addition, his costume has several noticeable items—a long bow tie, a blue hat with red pompom bobbles (the earrings), pointy shoes and gloves—and two metal blades on either side of his mouth (the fangs).

He kills one girl by cutting off her head with a Bowie knife while shouting "The art show!" The other girl runs away from him but falls down some stairs into an air shaft where she dies after being crushed by some metal scraps.

Art the Clown isn't just a horror movie villain. He's also one of horror's most infamous boogeymen with an interesting personality and backstory, who has appeared in other films and even had his own panel at a recent modern horror convention.
He's best known for his appearance in the 1988 film [REC], which was remade by Hollywood in 2007. In this film, Art is portrayed as a wisecracking clown that stalks victims through their apartment building while wearing white face paint, red lipstick, and a black top hat.
The original version ends with Art getting trapped in an elevator as fire engulfs the building; however, if you watch it long enough he eventually appears again running through the streets of Barcelona wearing different clothes (because all clowns change clothes when they go out).
I think it’s safe to say that Art the Clown is one of the scariest horror villains ever created. His appearance, demeanor and backstory are very unsettling. The character has endured through time thanks to his strange personality as well as his terrifying face which has haunted audiences since 2011. As for what makes him so frightening, I would say it’s because he isn’t a human being but rather an embodiment of evil itself; he represents our worst nightmares coming true in real life with no explanation or logic behind them other than they simply exist just like any other entity might exist within its own universe.
